How can I connect a BioTek instrument to my laptop that only has USB ports?
To connect a BioTek instrument to a computer via a USB port, use an RS232 to USB adapter. For convenience, a recommended adapter (P/N 75104) can be ordered directly from BioTek. The driver provided with the adapter (on CD) should be installed. This allows the USB connection to emulate a COM port.
